HIGH RELIEF DOUBLE GOLD EAGLE

The High Relief Double Gold Eagle is a beautiful updated recreation of the legendary Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ $20 Double Eagle gold coin from 1907.  Through modern technology the Saint-Gaudens coin original plasters were digitally recreated by the United States Mint. Using this new digital map and die-making process, the ultra high relief Saint-Gaudens sculpture was updated with an additional four stars to represent the current 50 states, and the inscription “In God We Trust,” was added to the coin which was not included on the 1907 version.
